Habitat For Humanity

2010 found our congregation dipping our feet into the world of Habitat For Humanity. A group from St. John joined a rehab project as part of the Be The Church weekend. The group had a great time and planned to definitely join another project again.

As the response to Habitat was so positive, we've taken the steps to bring Habitat to us. Plans are currently underway to bring three to five projects to Romeo and the surrounding area. Our congregation will be at the forefront of the organizational efforts.

2011 will be your chance to get involved at the local level. Habitat isn't only for volunteers who want to build. There will be chances for everyone to be involved. You can bring a meal to the site, be a clean up person, do landscape work, or fundraise. Mark your goal list for next year with being involved.
